Background
NIS is a Regina based, Employee Owned Company specializing in the installation of underground water and sewer works. The company was founded in 1975 and has been operating for over 45 years. Prior to NIS forming, the company operated under Northern Industrial Structures Ltd. for approximately 14 years.
Our Company
NIS has installed approximately 70% of all underground water and sewer piping in new Regina subdivisions in the past 35 years. We are well experienced in upgrading urban infrastructure. We have completed many projects in the City of Regina including large diameter piping, water supply and trunk mains and large diameter sewer force mains. We have also worked directly for the City of Regina for the past 45 years.

Water Line Hot-Tapping
Water line hot tapping is a safe way to tie into an existing pressurized system. It is done by drilling or cutting in the presence of stream while under pressure and enables a construction crew to make a water line connection without having to interrupt the area around it.

Hydrant Repair and Service
NIS Contractors have been involved in fire hydrant maintenance for years and have an excellent history of satisfied customers. We offer, once or twice a year inspection for all makes of fire hydrants. Pressurize the fire hydrant to check for leaks and or damage. Clean and lubricate operating nut, nozzles and caps. Operate fire hydrant isolation valve. Pump out fire hydrant. Tag each fire hydrant. Inspection report on each hydrant.
Catch Basin and Manhole Repair
NIS Contractors has the experience to repair catch basins and manhole. Manholes and catch basins collect water and debris into the storm sewer system. We can provide on-going maintenance to repair manholes and catch basins, or respond to an emergency such as a broken service area.
