Based in Regina, Saskatchewan, NIS is an employee-owned company specializing in the installation of underground water and sewer infrastructure, with a reputation built on quality workmanship, reliability, and a commitment to getting the job done right.
Founded in 1975, NIS has grown through decades of experience, evolving with the industry while staying true to the values that have defined the company from the beginning. Our story reaches back even further—to our predecessor, Northern Industrial Structures Ltd.—giving NIS a legacy of expertise and trust that spans nearly 60 years.

For more than 40 years, NIS has played a major role in building Regina’s underground infrastructure. We have installed approximately 70% of the underground water and sewer piping in new Regina subdivisions, making us a trusted and experienced leader in the region.
Our expertise extends well beyond new development. NIS has extensive experience delivering complex urban infrastructure upgrades and has successfully completed projects throughout the City of Regina, including large-diameter water and sewer piping, water supply and trunk mains, and large-diameter sewer force mains.

Watermain Hot-Tapping Services
Connect to existing water infrastructure without interrupting service.
Water line hot tapping is a safe and efficient method of connecting new infrastructure to an existing pressurized water system without shutting down the line. By drilling or cutting into a live watermain under controlled conditions, hot tapping allows new connections to be completed while maintaining water service to surrounding businesses, facilities, and customers.
